Not far from the city center, Favorita Park lies at the foot of Monte Pellegrino. Once even larger, today it has a surface area of 200 hectares. Created as a gaming estate for King Ferdinand of Bourbon, during his stay in Palermo, today it is one of the favourite places for Palermitans to hang out. They usually cross it while heading towards Mondello, the city’s nearest beach. Runners and bike riders also gather here for their daily training. The park is divided by main roads each having a mythological name that are intersected by a network of paths and alleyways that pass through woods, clearings, and even cultivated fields. During the ride you will find mysterious architectural oddities and thousand-year-old trees. The bike tour in Favorita Park is perfect for families with kids. It's a real adventure!
