Motya island is a kind of miracle: a tiny plot of land floating in a lagoon, enclosed by saltworks. Once connected to the mainland through a road (today submerged), it has been preserved over the centuries and today is evidence of one of the most fascinating civilisations of ancient times, the Phoenicians.

These were thoughtful people who listened to the sea and contemplated the stars.
